Please be aware that the historic center of Venice is car-free. Therefore, you need to park your rental car outside the historic city center.
 

• You can park your car on the mainland and take public transport to Venice. You can book tickets for the public transport online here.
• If you want to park on the island you need to use a car park. As there are only a few car parks, we recommend booking a parking space online in advance. A popular car park is the Garage Comunale AVM. Here you can book a parking space online.
   

Once you have parked, you can explore the historic centre by foot or by boat, most common are motorized waterbuses, the so called “Vaporetti”.

Be particularly flexible with the one-way rental

You can also return the rental car to a car rental agency at another city, such as Verona or Milan. To do this, simply change the return location in the search mask and look forward to an exciting road trip. For the so-called one-way rental, additional fees apply.

Book an additional driver

If you plan to be on the road longer, you can specify an additional driver. This way you can take turns driving the rental car and everyone can enjoy the view for once. In some offers, an additional driver is already included in the rental price.

Follow the refuelling regulations

Remember to refuel the rental car before returning it, depending on the refueling regulations. Follow the signs for the return of the rental car and plan enough time on site. Have the condition of the rental car documented and take the protocol with you.

Return the rental car outside the opening hours

 The return can take place at any time, even outside of opening hours. Simply leave the key in the key box provided.
