Car rental at the Dublin International Airport

• Always drive carefully and with foresight with the rental car. It is not uncommon for sheep to suddenly appear on the road.
• Also be aware that on some sections of the highways in Ireland tolls are charged. These are usually not included in the rental price of the rental car but must be paid locally. Find out in advance if your desired route includes toll roads.
• If you want to take turns driving the rental car on a longer trip, you can also specify an additional driver on site when picking up the rental car. In some offers, an additional driver is already included in the rental price.

Remember to refuel the rental car before returning it, depending on the fuel arrangements. The drive from the center of Dublin to the airport takes about 25 minutes by rental car. The nearest gas station is right outside the airport. Follow the signs for the return of the rental car and plan enough time on site so that you do not get into stress before your departure. Have the condition of the rental car documented and take the record with you.

You can return the car at any time, even outside opening hours. Simply leave the key for this in the key box provided.

Car rental trips across country borders are generally possible but depend on the vehicle type and rental company.
